The exciting thing is that the government does not impose any personal taxes, whether they are residents of Kuwait or expatriates. However, foreign companies are subject to taxes. The tax rate for foreign companies is 15%. However, if it is a local company operating in the country, it does not have to pay taxes. Other than that, there is no VAT, and that is another great news.
The country has a robust social security system for citizens, which covers public health care, sickness and disability benefits, and pensions. Funding for the designs comes from the state. However, this social security system for the public is not available to ex-pats. But some employers offer similar systems for their employees.
